Commitment to Diversity
At Munsch Hardt, we believe that diversity is an essential factor in our success and our ability to deliver excellent service and results to our clients. We are committed to developing a diverse base of talent, with attorneys and staff sharing their experiences and perspectives in order to enrich our personal and professional growth. As a result, we continue to offer our clients new and creative solutions that make us the ... Right Firm. Right Now.®
The business community has called law firms to action by requiring them to increase diversity among their ranks. At Munsch Hardt, we responded to that call. Not only are we more diverse today than ever before, but we were named the "most improved law firm by overall composite score" in the 2007 Dallas Diversity Task Force Report. In 2008, the Texas Department of State Health Services designated our Dallas, Texas office as a "Mother-Friendly Worksite."
THE MUNSCH HARDT DIVERSITY COMMITTEE
The Diversity Committee at Munsch Hardt is made up of attorneys and staff from all levels of the firm who represent a wide range of ethnic backgrounds and law practices. Reporting to executive management, our Diversity Committee provides a forum for identifying and developing diversity initiatives and programs.
INITIATIVES
The Diversity Committee at Munsch Hardt meets on a regular basis to discuss initiatives, strengthen policies, and propose and implement plans that will promote diversity goals within the firm. Much of the Diversity Committee’s work is focused on the following:
- Recruiting Talent: We strive to attract and welcome minorities, women and other talented attorneys who represent a broad range of diverse racial, ethnic and social backgrounds. In order to grow and thrive within the firm, all attorneys are provided the support to take on challenging, meaningful matters and the opportunity to work directly with clients.
- Increasing Diversity Awareness: Munsch Hardt provides diversity awareness training and educational programs, often with assistance from outside diversity experts.
- Women's Initiatives Committee: This committee is comprised of stockholders and associates who make it their goal to advance the professional lives of the women at the firm through various programs. In 2009, they plan to host a minimum of four events, internal and external, that will include outside speakers.
- Coordinating Greater Community Outreach: Our attorneys are active participants in key bar and legal associations, business organizations and groups that represent specific constituencies, advance diversity goals and support the commitment to diversity evolution within our professional communities.
AN ONGOING COMMITMENT
The leadership of Munsch Hardt knows that building a talented, diverse workforce takes an ongoing, firm wide commitment. We will provide regular updates on our progress.
