History

Munsch Hardt was formed April 15, 1985, by Shareholders Dan Decker, Joe Hardt, Richard O. Kopf, Steven A. Harr, Russell L. Munsch and John Dinan. The firm opened its doors in a 5,000 square foot Lincoln Plaza office in Dallas, Texas. Today, we have more than 100 attorneys, 78,500 square feet of offices on several floors of Lincoln Plaza, and have expanded to other Texas cities. Our Austin, Texas office opened in January 1996. Our August 2004 merger with an established Houston, Texas firm, Floyd Jones Rios Wahrlich P.C., further expanded our presence. In addition to our geographic expansion, our practice area growth has been significant. Even though the firm initially started out with just a few practice areas, the founding partners envisioned a full-service law firm. Today, Munsch Hardt offers a wide range of services across over 50 practice areas.
