Overview
Brian's practice focuses on business litigation with a particular emphasis on representation of court appointed receivers in the context of securities fraud actions brought by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), which has led to significant experience in the winding down and liquidation of oil and gas operations. He regularly handles insurance coverage disputes and first party insurance defense matters as well as general business matters related to the formation of partnerships and joint ventures.
Additionally, Brian represents developers, investors, private real estate funds and end users in the development, acquisition/disposition, management/leasing and financing of office, seniors' housing and retail properties.
Upon graduation of law school, Brian practiced law in New Orleans, Louisiana, engaging in a general practice that included various aspects of corporate, real estate and civil litigation.
