Overview

David's practice covers all aspects of complex business litigation, with a particular emphasis in business tort, contract, director and officer liability, shareholder derivative actions and securities fraud litigation involving investment transactions including corporate mergers and acquisitions, commercial mortgage backed securitizations, collateralized loan obligations, private equity and hedge funds, venture capital syndications, partnerships, limited liability companies and joint ventures. David also represents corporate boards, directors and officers, audit committees, special litigation committees and other board committees in internal investigations addressing liability, disclosure, remediation and compliance issues in connection with actual or potential litigation claims.

David has been responsible for a broad range of litigation involving complex business disputes in various substantive areas including corporate and securities; real estate; intellectual property, copyright and trade secrets; franchising; business torts; partnership disputes; antitrust; bankruptcy and banking. David has served as lead counsel in more than 30 trials in federal and state courts in Texas, California, Indiana, New York, Michigan and Washington, DC and arbitrations before the American Arbitration Association (AAA) and National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD).
