Overview

Dwight is a member of the firm's Management Committee and serves as the leader for the firm's Health Care group, residing in the firm's Houston office. Dwight has over 20 years of combined administrative management and legal experience in the health care environment. While Dwight serves many diverse practices, he focuses his legal efforts on matters affecting health care providers and organizations including regulatory compliance, operation, licensure, risk management, peer review, medical malpractice and commercial disputes. He frequently advises firm clients on federal and state compliance issues including the physician self-referral law (Stark) and anti-kickback statute and has experience in products liability, managed care and general liability litigation.

While a majority of Dwight's practice is concentrated in the health care industry, he has experience handling complex business transactions, covenants not to compete, copyright and trademark matters. Dwight is also a Certified Mediator.

Dwight previously worked in administrative capacities within The University of Texas System and as President of a regional non-profit health care organization. Dwight continues to advise non-profit corporations on a variety of compliance and governance-related matters. Prior to joining Munsch Hardt, Dwight worked in-house for a large hospital system where he maintained responsibility for various legal and administrative matters.
