Matt W. Holley is a Shareholder in the Litigation section of the Dallas office of Munsch Hardt Kopf & Harr. Matt's practice focuses on employment litigation, business litigation, insurance coverage litigation and unfair competition/trade secret litigation. Matt also counsels clients on employment related matters with an eye toward avoiding claims and lawsuits.

Matt is Board Certified in Labor and Employment Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. He is also a trial lawyer with extensive litigation and trial experience in both Federal and State Courts, as well as various arbitration forums.

A former bull rider, Mr. Holley takes a 'no bull' approach to litigation, always seeking to obtain results for his clients in the most efficient and cost-effective manner possible.

Matt is also an avid backpacker and a connoisseur of Texas music.

  • Defended brokerage firms and brokers in NASD arbitrations involving claims for breach of noncompete agreements, breach of confidentiality agreements, misappropriation of trade secrets and breach of fiduciary duty
  • Successfully tried an ERISA suit involving multiple plaintiffs seeking millions of dollars in damages
  • Obtained a settlement for a client against an insurance company and broker who sold the client a tax shelter that was subsequently challenged by the IRS
  • Obtained a judgment against an excess liability insurance carrier on behalf of another liability insurer
