Overview
Robert is the Austin office's Business Development Coordinator and has practiced law for almost 25 years. His focus includes general civil business with an emphasis on land development regulatory law, contracts and third party administrators. He has more than 20 years experience in land development matters consisting of zoning, site plans, permitting under the Endangered Species Act (ESA) and other forms of local and state entitlement. The acquisition and protection of vested rights has become a growing part of Robert's practice as local governments respond to statutory protections of private property rights, often requiring negotiated, judicial and legislative solutions. Robert also represents landowners in condemnation matters and has represented several local governments on land development and environmental issues involving complex land development and land use issues.
In recent years, Robert has also represented clients in business transactions and disputes involving insurance companies, insurance brokers and third party administrators. This aspect of Robert's practice entails the business of insurance rather than the more common coverage issues.
