Munsch Hardt Attorney Noschese Announces Run for Texas State Legislature

December 8, 2009

Last Thursday, Greg Noschese made his candidacy official by filing the necessary paperwork with the Dallas County Republican Party in order to participate in the March Republican primary for House District 101.

“For the past fourteen years, I’ve worked to ensure our area has focused on the work that matters to improve our schools, keep our neighborhoods safe, build our infrastructure, and create an environment for business to grow jobs for our families,” stated Noschese. “Like many people I speak with, I’m frustrated by overspending, over taxing, and government which isn’t always focused on solving problems or growing our economy. I pledge to use my experience to help our state cut wasteful spending, reduce taxes on property owners, and concentrate our work on growing jobs for our families and better schools for our children.”

In August, Noschese resigned his elected position as Mayor Pro-Tem of Mesquite in order to focus on winning the Republican nomination in March 2010, the general election in November 2010, and giving this district the conservative voice it deserves in Austin.

Mesquite businessman and Sunnyvale resident, Joe Sam Frank said of Noschese’s candidacy, “We need real leaders working for us in Austin. People with local experience and a proven track record of working within our communities. Greg has both the experience and the backbone to stand up for our common-sense, conservative values and make much needed changes in Austin.”

Noting his more than a decade of work on behalf of the area, local business owner and long-time community volunteer Evelyn Williams stated “Greg has always been there for our community — offering his time, his energy, and his hard work to make improvements for our neighborhoods, our schools, and our local businesses.”

Noschese, a former Mesquite City Council, Chamber Board Chair, Education Foundation Board member and Eagle Scout lives in Mesquite with his wife and three daughters and is seeking the Republican nomination for House District 101 of the Texas Legislature in the March 2, 2010 Primary. House District 101 serves Mesquite, Sunnyvale and Balch Springs.
