During this period, we have represented numerous energy related enterprises, private investors and funds, multilateral lending institutions and service providers. The Energy & Utility group includes attorneys from various groups of the firm including the Corporate & Securities, Energy & Environmental, Corporate Finance, Business Litigation, Bankruptcy and Tax groups.   • Representation of an ethanol manufacturer in general corporate matters, who recently emerged from bankruptcy.
  • Representation of service providers and customers in the development of complex energy transactions including the negotiation of energy procurement contracts, energy assessments, audit agreements and other energy related arrangements.
  • Representation of a partnership being formed to develop, construct and operate a natural gas pipeline.
  • Representation of production companies, operators and land owners during their negotiation of oil and gas royalty, drilling and leasing agreements.
  • Representation of a service provider during its negotiation and subsequent implementation of a forward-thinking, first of its kind energy management program for the state of Texas that encompassed more than 7,000 facilities and 22,000 accounts.
  • Representation of independent owners and financial institutions in power generation facility divestitures including sale of majority control in a 55 megawatt geothermal power station in California.
  • Representation of a developer in the acquisition of a large footprint wind rights farm development in Wyoming.
