Summer Associate Program
Our summer associate program is designed to give each law student the opportunity to experience the unique culture and work environment of our firm. Our goal is to provide an overview of the day-to-day life of a first year attorney by offering assignments that go beyond the standard "back-room" research and writing. The firm is committed to involving summer associates in the most interesting and challenging work at the firm, while encouraging them to attend client conferences, depositions, court appearances, hearings, negotiations and closings.  During your clerkship, you will have the opportunity to work in all sections of the firm and to meet all of our attorneys – at work and socially.  Social activity, both planned and spontaneous, is an important part of our summer program. This enables our summer associates to get to know as individuals, not just as attorneys.

Each summer associate will be assigned a shareholder mentor and an associate mentor. In addition to monitoring projects and activities with their summer associate, mentors serve as sounding boards, providing valuable information and guidance when needed. We conduct a mid-term review and an exit interview with all summer associates. Each meeting offers our summer associates the opportunity to give feedback on our program and to have any outstanding questions answered.

Our program will be held during the second half of the summer, beginning on July 7, 2008. During the clerkship, we seek to maximize each summer associate's exposure to our attorneys, their practice and our clients. By accomplishing this, candidates will leave our summer program with the knowledge of what is expected of a new associate out of law school, as well as an understanding of the unique practice environment at Munsch Hardt.
