Feb 7, 2018

(DALLAS) Munsch Hardt Kopf & Harr, P.C. (Munsch Hardt) congratulates Shareholder Phillip J.F. Geheb, (Phill) as a recent recipient of the Dallas Business Journal 2018 “40 Under 40” Award.

The 40 Under 40 Awards celebrate the up-and-coming leaders, executives and influencers in the Dallas-Fort Worth business community and beyond, who are making a difference at their workplaces, excelling in their current roles and making valuable contributions to their organizations. The honorees will be recognized at an awards event from 4:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on March 20 at Venue Forty50 in Addison, Texas and in a special online and print publication on March 23 of the Dallas Business Journal.

“Phill is most deserving of this award,” said Phil Appenzeller, CEO of Munsch Hardt. “His passion and commitment to clients and his community is evident to those around him. We are extremely proud of his ongoing accomplishments and couldn’t be happier to see his hard work recognized in this way.”

Since moving to Texas and joining Munsch Hardt’s Real Estate practice in 2013, Phill has focused his career on pioneering the redevelopment of critical areas in North Texas. Phill has led teams on complex real estate transactions in five states, valued in total at more than $1.5 billion, including the $130 million redevelopment of the Butler Brothers Building, the $100 million redevelopment of the 1712/1700 Commerce Buildings (which won the Dallas Business Journal’s “Best Rehabilitation Award” in 2016), the $55MM redevelopment of the Old Dallas High School, the $73MM redevelopment of the West End Marketplace, student housing facilities on the campus of Texas A&M, University of Oklahoma, Tarleton State University, and Texas Woman’s University, and affordable housing projects within the City of Dallas.  Phill also has a thriving practice working with non-profits in real estate development projects involving New Market and historic tax credits, including the redevelopment of the Forest Theater and the development of the OpportunityCenter by CitySquare, the redevelopment of Camp Whispering Cedars by the Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas, and the Family Empowerment Center by Interfaith Family Services.

Phill is a thought leader in urban redevelopment, hosting quarterly DFW Reimagined seminars on the development trends in DFW and speaking frequently at national conferences regarding public-private partnerships, urban redevelopment, tax credit finance, affordable housing, and double and triple bottom-line investment platforms.

This is not the first time Phill has been recognized for his success. In 2017, Phill received numerous recognitions, including Thomas Reuters, Texas Rising Stars award and Texas Lawyer, Lawyers on the Rise award.
