(AUSTIN) Munsch Hardt Kopf & Harr, P.C. (Munsch Hardt) is pleased to announce that Matthew Talley has joined the Firm’s Austin office. Talley, who had recently been promoted to a Director of Coats Rose's construction / surety section, bolsters Munsch Hardt’s construction practice from both a controversy and transactional perspective.
“It’s an exciting time to join Munsch Hardt, as our Board of Directors and Operations Committee is very much focused on strategic growth,” stated Jay H. Ong, Managing Shareholder of the Firm’s Austin Office. “We are very fortunate to have Matt join our team. Our construction group has been extremely busy working on some of the largest construction projects not just in Texas, but across the United States. Our clients require the dedicated expertise of attorneys who thoroughly understand both real estate transactions and construction disputes in order to promote and facilitate their projects, and Matt possesses exceptional dual expertise in these fields. Matt has an excellent reputation in the Texas market, and we are happy to officially have him on board.”
Talley’s construction practice encompasses representing public and private owners, design professionals, general contractors and subcontractors in transactional and litigation matters. His practice centers on drafting and negotiating complex construction and design contracts for large projects, with a particular emphasis on developing insurance requirements and evaluating insurance coverage issues for his clients. Additionally, Talley has extensive experience developing and implementing strategies for managing and resolving complex construction and civil litigation matters on behalf of owners, sureties, design professionals, general contractors and subcontractors.
In addition to construction work, Talley brings a wealth of experience assisting his clients in navigating insurance coverage disputes. The Firm offers a robust insurance coverage practice, and Talley's addition promotes Munsch Hardt's ability to efficiently provide these services to its clients based in Central Texas.
“The decision to join Munsch Hardt was an easy one,” said Talley. “Having worked closely with several of Munsch Hardt’s attorneys at a previous firm, I know firsthand that they are some of the best real estate, insurance and construction attorneys in the state. I look forward to helping grow the practice, and I am also confident that this is the ideal Firm to help me elevate my practice to the next level.”
Talley earned his Juris Doctorate degree from South Texas College of Law and his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Texas.
