Huddleston Elected to American College of Coverage and Extracontractual Counsel

Munsch Hardt is pleased to announce Mike (Michael) W. Huddleston, Shareholder in the Litigation practice group and lead attorney of the Insurance specialty industry group, has been elected to the American College of Coverage and Extracontractual Counsel (ACCEC), in a unanimous vote by the ACCEC Board of Regents.

The ACCEC is composed of approximately 100 prominent lawyers committed to educating sectors involved in insurance disputes on critical topics such as best practices in policy formation and claims handling, developing trends in insurance law, and bad faith. Huddleston is only the fifth Texas lawyer to be elected as a member of the ACCEC.

The ACCEC, established in 2012, is composed of preeminent coverage and extracontractual counsel in the United States and Canada, representing the interest of both insurers and policyholders in the practice of insurance law. Primarily, the ACCEC focuses on the creative, ethical and efficient adjudication of insurance coverage and extracontractual disputes, peer-provided scholarship, professional coordination and the improvement of the relationship between and among its diverse members.

Huddleston’s practice is focused on the representation of commercial and professional policyholders against insurance companies. He has received awards and honors such as, "Go-To" Lawyer in Insurance Law, by the Texas Lawyer Go-To Guide, 2012; named by D Magazine among the 2013, “Best Lawyers in Dallas”; recipient of the Band 1 “Top Ranked” honor in Insurance; named a "Leading Individual" in Insurance Law by Chambers USA since 2004; and a 2013 Texas Super Lawyer, in Insurance Coverage. Additionally, Mike Huddleston has been honored by Best Lawyers in America from 2006 to present, in Insurance Law.
