Overview

Austin’s practice focuses on commercial litigation, with an emphasis on the construction industry. He has experience handling matters in both federal and state courts involving personal injury, wrongful death, fraud, the Deceptive Trade Practices Act (DTPA) and breach of contract. He has also been a contributor to the Texas Construction Law Manual, the state’s principal guide to navigating legal issues that are relevant to the construction industry.

While in law school, Austin served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Terry Means in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas, where he gained experience conducting research and drafting motions. He graduated cum laude from Southern Methodist University’s Dedman School of Law, where he served as the Associate Managing Editor for the International Law Review. Prior to joining Munsch Hardt, Austin was an associate in the litigation section at a Dallas-based law firm that specializes in construction.
