Angela is a member of Munsch Hardt's Real Estate section where she spearheads the Firm's Zoning and Land Use practice. Angela regularly advises her clients on a wide range of land use issues including complex zoning matters, TIRZ and Chapter 380 grants, development agreements, annexation, and condominium creation. Angela frequently represents industrial, office, multifamily, and mixed-use developers in seeking zoning approvals.
Angela serves on the Board of Directors of the Dallas Fort Worth International Airport as an appointee of the City of Dallas. With more than 85 million passengers annually, DFW Airport is the fourth-busiest airport in the world, overseeing a $1.4 billion operating budget and a $12 billion capital program. Angela also represents DFW Airport on the Regional Transportation Council, the policy-making body for the 12-county Dallas-Fort Worth region.
Prior to her real estate practice, Angela served on the Dallas City Council for eight years, the maximum term allowed by law. Elected to the Dallas City Council at the age of 33, she is the youngest woman ever to have served as a councilmember.
In her zoning practice, Angela guides her clients through byzantine local regulations, analyzing them alongside any private restrictions, and draws on nearly a decade of legislating complex zoning cases at Dallas City Hall to assess the political feasibility of a proposal before it is ever filed. She maps a strategy for approval, identifies the pitfalls that derail projects, and advocates for her clients at city hall — cutting through red tape and connecting them with decision makers across North Texas.
Angela has been recognized among D Magazine’s “Best Lawyers in Dallas” and Best Lawyers in America, and she was selected “Best Councilmember” every year of her service by the Dallas Observer.
