Overview

Earl is a Shareholder in Munsch Hardt’s litigation section, where he represents clients in high-stakes disputes across state and federal courts and in arbitration nationwide. His practice spans general business litigation, commercial litigation, consumer litigation, employment litigation and counseling, and oil & gas royalty disputes, with clients ranging from individuals and small businesses to national, publicly traded companies.

Earl has tried cases to final judgment in state and federal courts, as well as to final award in arbitration matters. Clients also frequently rely on him for compliance counseling, including the development of internal policies, and for conducting sensitive employment investigations.

Before practicing law, Earl spent more than six years as an Independent Petroleum Landman across Texas and West Virginia, where he prepared title abstracts, negotiated oil and gas leases and right-of-way agreements, and managed curative work for drilling operations in the Eagle Ford Shale, Marcellus Shale, and Permian Basin. This background gives Earl a unique perspective on the energy industry’s business and legal challenges.

Earl has been recognized on the Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch list for Commercial Litigation (2022-2026) and serves as the Houston Shareholder Chair of Munsch Hardt’s Summer Associate Recruiting Program. He graduated second in his class, summa cum laude, from South Texas College of Law Houston, where he earned ten CALI Awards for receiving the highest final grade in class.

Earl is committed to delivering practical, results-oriented advocacy tailored to each client’s business and legal objectives. In addition to his client work, he is actively involved in the firm’s recruiting and mentoring efforts and is dedicated to developing the next generation of lawyers and fostering a strong, collaborative culture within the firm.
