(DALLAS) Munsch Hardt Kopf & Harr, P.C. (Munsch Hardt) is pleased to announce the addition of Clifton (Clif) Squibb as a Shareholder in the Firm’s Energy practice. Squibb joins Munsch Hardt’s Dallas office from Hamilton Squibb & Shores, LLP, where he was a founding partner.

Squibb represents energy companies and investors in middle-market transactional matters, including the acquisition and divestiture of assets and the negotiation and preparation of foundational and project-level agreements. Drawing upon an expertise in oil and gas property and title issues, he regularly counsels on operational matters and disputes, working with clients ranging from exploration and production companies to individual landowners.

With many energy clients embracing new opportunities, he has advised on a variety of transitional projects, including lithium exploration, geothermal concepts, carbon mitigation, and solar development.

“Clifton is a highly skilled deal lawyer with an outstanding reputation in the oil and gas and emerging energy sectors,” said Phil Appenzeller, CEO of Munsch Hardt. “It is this experience that makes him a great fit for Munsch Hardt, as we aim to strategically raise the profile of the Firm’s Energy capabilities in Dallas and beyond.”

Squibb is Board Certified in Oil, Gas & Mineral Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and has served as an adjunct professor at Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law. Known for closely studying emerging trends and educating others on such trends, Squibb regularly writes articles and lectures at conferences around the country. Most recently, his article on geothermal energy will be featured in the forthcoming edition of The Foundation Journal for Natural Resources and Energy Law.

“I am thrilled to join Munsch Hardt. The Firm has earned a reputation as being a great place to work, with an open and collegial environment that focuses on providing the highest and most innovative level of client service,” commented Squibb. “With the positive culture, as well as its middle-market focus and full-service platform, the Firm is a great place for me as I continue to expand my practice across the traditional and emerging energy sectors.”

Squibb earned his J.D. from SMU Dedman School of Law, a master’s degree from the London School of Economics & Political Science, and a B.A. in Economics and Philosophy from the University of Virginia.
