Earlier this year, a Munsch Hardt team achieved a major victory for a contractor client in a complex arbitration concerning the design and construction of plant emission control systems. The team was led by Board Certified Houston Shareholder and Construction Law Practice Group Co-Chair, Mason Hester. The arbitrator essentially denied all of the facility owner’s claims and instead awarded our client payment on its principal counterclaims, resulting in a total net victory of more than $34 million. The work at issue was related to a carbon black production facility, performed pursuant to a contract initially totaling approximately $93 million in total work. Congratulations to the team on this victory!
