Meet Your Allied Bar Presidents for 2026

As the Dallas Bar Association gears up for 2026, it is time to welcome the incoming presidents of our Allied Bar Associations. The DBA looks forward to working with these outstanding leaders as they advance the goals of their organizations and work to serve their members in the coming year.

Maria Alonso will serve as President of the Dallas Hispanic Bar Association (DHBA). An international trade and compliance attorney, Alonso is currently the Trade and Corporate Counsel at Tokyo Electron US, where she counsels the company on a broad range of international trade and national security matters. Alonso has been actively involved with the DHBA since 2016 as a committee member and chair of the DHBA Latina Leadership Committee. She received her B.S. from the University of Texas at Austin, and her J.D. cum laude from SMU Dedman School of Law.

Josh Dossey will serve as President of the Dallas LGBT Bar Association. Dossey is an Associate at Duffee & Eitzen where he focuses his practice on family law. He is active in several professional organizations, including the State Bar of Texas Family Law Section, Dallas Bar Association, Dallas Association of Young Lawyers, Dallas Trial Lawyers Association, Annette Stewart American Inn of Court, and the National LGBTQ+ Bar Association. He has been honored as a Best Lawyers: One to Watch and a Texas Rising Star. Dossey received his B.A. from Baylor University and his J.D. from SMU Dedman School of Law.

Stephen Huschka will serve as President of the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers (DAYL). A Shareholder at Munsch Hardt, Huschka is a seasoned litigator with significant experience representing clients in complex securities, financial services and commercial disputes. He also serves as Practice Leader of the Firm’s Securities Litigation + Governmental Investigations group. A graduate of The University of Texas (B.A.) and Texas A&M University School of Law (J.D.), Huschka is committed to public service, with a focus on disability advocacy. He serves as a Commissioner on the City of Dallas Commission on Disabilities and previously chaired the DAYL Foundation.

Sharonda Roberson will serve as President of the J.L. Turner Legal Association (JLTLA). She is an Associate in the Consumer Financial Services and Privacy, Security & AI practice groups at Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP, where she represents major financial institutions in complex consumer financial litigation and advises on privacy and cybersecurity matters as a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US). Roberson is deeply committed to service within the legal community, serving on the Board of Directors of the Dallas Bar Association and actively participating in several bar associations and committees. A graduate of the DAYL Leadership Class, she earned both her undergraduate degree and Juris Doctor from Northern Illinois University.

Alen Arpana Samuel will serve as President of the Dallas Asian American Bar Association (DAABA). She is an Associate at Fisher & Phillips LLP where she represents employers in all phases of workplace litigation and also guides employers through workplace issues. Her work includes representing clients in federal, state, and arbitral forums in matters involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wrongful discharge matters. She was recognized in the 2024 “Ones to Watch” by DAYL and was named a finalist of the State Bar of Texas’s 2025 TMCP Rising Star Award. In addition to her bar service, she is a Fellow of the National Employment Law Council Academy, Vice President of Programming for The Podium, and a Committee Member for Lawyers Promoting Diversity. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Dallas, and her J.D. from the SMU Dedman School of Law.

Jasmine Tobias will serve as President of the Dallas Women Lawyers Association (DWLA). Tobias is an Associate at Holland & Knight, where she focuses on labor and employment litigation, franchise, and complex commercial litigation matters. Prior to entering private practice, Tobias clerked for the Honorable Sam A. Lindsay of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas. She is active in many associations and service organizations, and has been recognized as Top 100 National Black Lawyers, Texas; Top 40 Under 40, National Black Lawyers, Texas; 2022 Distinguished Alumni of the Year, SMU Black Law Students Association, and the 2021 Outstanding Rookie of the Year, The Texas Lawbook and Association of Corporate Counsel. She earned her undergraduate degree from Southern Methodist University, her M.L.A. from St. Edward’s University, and her J.D. cum laude from the SMU Dedman School of Law.
