Munsch Hardt's Angela Hunt Helps Secure Naming Rights Agreement for El Paso's Loya Park

NOV 05, 2026

Munsch Hardt Shareholder Angela Hunt successfully negotiated a donation and naming rights agreement connected to a $20 million philanthropic gift for the planned Fred Loya Family Deck Plaza, a 6.5-acre deck park spanning Interstate 10 in downtown El Paso.

The project is designed to reconnect areas of downtown divided by the interstate, create new public green space and support economic development through a public-private partnership.

The agreement marks Hunt's involvement in a third major Texas deck park initiative. As a former Dallas City Council member, Hunt helped secure city bond funding for Klyde Warren Park, where she now serves on the Public Improvement District Board. She also negotiated a naming rights agreement for Halperin Park, formerly Southern Gateway Park, near the Dallas Zoo.

Hunt's work on these projects reflects her experience helping clients navigate agreements that bring together private investment, philanthropy and public infrastructure to support long-term community development.
