Munsch Hardt recently announced the celebration of its 30th anniversary. The Texas-based law firm, with more than 115 attorneys, marked the milestone by hosting a founders’ luncheon during which firm leaders visited about various topics, including the firm’s founding principles, defining moments in the firm’s history, the evolution of law firm management and the firm’s plans for growth.
In 1985, six attorneys left one of the largest law firms in Dallas to form Decker Hardt Kopf Harr Munsch & Dinan: Steven A. Harr, Richard O. Kopf and Russell L. Munsch, all of whom are still with the firm today, and Joe Hardt, Dan Decker and John Dinan, each of whom went on to successful in-house or C-level positions with clients. The founders’ concept was to break away from old guard firm practices to develop a more energetic, agile and responsive firm focused on addressing the actual needs of clients, providing practical and creative solutions, and creating a platform for the next generation of business leaders. Capitalizing on that philosophy, Munsch Hardt is now one of the dominant players in the Texas legal market, with offices in Austin, Dallas and Houston.
