Maria is a corporate attorney focusing her practice on mergers and acquisitions.

Maria previously served as a Summer Associate in the Firm’s Houston office. She received her Juris Doctor from South Texas College of Law Houston, where she graduated magna cum laude and served on the South Texas Law Review. She was also a recipient of the Dean’s Merit Scholarship and a three-time recipient of the CALI Excellence for the Future Award for receiving the highest grade in a course.

Before practicing law, Maria gained experience across a variety of industries, including luxury retail, media, and fashion. She received dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Journalism and Fashion Media from Southern Methodist University, where she also minored in French and European Studies and served as Editor-in-Chief, Managing Editor, and Assistant Editor of SMU Look.
