Ryan is a trial-tested attorney who represents policyholders in high-stakes insurance disputes, helping businesses turn insurance rights into financial recovery. She brings deep industry insight and sharp litigation instincts to every matter, advocating for commercial insureds across sectors when coverage is denied, delayed, or underpaid.

Drawing on significant courtroom experience, Ryan takes a proactive, risk-aware approach to litigation. She understands that insurance coverage disputes are not just legal problems; they’re business risks. Whether the issue involves property damage, liability claims, or business interruption losses, Ryan works closely with compliance officers, risk managers, and in-house counsel to align legal strategy with operational objectives and long-term goals.

From pre-suit negotiations through trial, Ryan leads clients through complex disputes involving property and casualty policies, CGL, D&O, E&O, and excess coverage. Her approach is both aggressive and pragmatic: meticulous in preparation, creative in argument, and laser-focused on outcomes that maximize recovery and support the client’s broader business strategy. She also advises on insurance programs, coverage reviews, claims strategy, and policy interpretation – helping businesses identify and manage coverage gaps before a claim is ever made.

Before joining Munsch Hardt, Ryan was counsel at a Texas-based firm where she defended a private university in high-profile Title IX litigation involving allegations of sexual assault. She began her legal career at a Houston boutique, representing insurers in first-party coverage disputes, bad faith litigation, and coverage investigations.

Ryan currently serves as President-Elect for the Alumni Association Board of Directors for South Texas College of Law Houston, and was recently named co-chair of its Student Engagement Committee.
