Munsch Hardt Kopf & Harr PC has added a construction and commercial litigator in Dallas who most recently served as a partner with Texas regional firm Griffith Davison PC.

Bradford Smith brings substantial experience representing plaintiffs and defendants in complex commercial construction and business disputes to his role as a shareholder in Munsch Hardt's litigation practice group, the firm said in a statement Thursday.

Smith told Law360 in an email Tuesday that, "Munsch Hardt is a firm I've long admired and respected, not only for its outstanding reputation, but also because several great friends have been part of the firm for many years."

"Munsch Hardt is also known for its deep bench of talented attorneys who are privileged to serve an admired set of clients," Smith said. "For me, the firm offers the ideal platform — a historic, Texas-based, full-service, middle-market law firm founded on a competitive rate structure that will enable me to both deepen relationships with existing clients and attract new ones."

"I'm especially excited about Munsch Hardt's focus on smart, organic growth, as well as the support it provides across all practice areas, including business litigation and construction," Smith said.

Smith has a track record of achieving positive results for clients, the firm said, adding that he has recovered more than $15 million for clients in construction and large loss subrogation matters.

Ross Parker, leader of Munsch Hardt's litigation practice, said in a statement that Smith's "extensive courtroom experience combines strategic thinking and a focused work ethic, resulting in advocacy that perfectly marries with our values and our clients' expectations and needs."

"He can simplify complex legal challenges and deliver efficient, result-driven solutions, which makes him an invaluable resource for our clients," Parker said. "We're excited to have him on our team as we grow our construction litigation practice and expand our presence across Texas and beyond."

Smith practiced with Griffith Davison for a little more than four years before moving to Munsch Hardt, according to his LinkedIn profile. Before Griffith Davison, Smith practiced for 9 1/2 years with Kane Russell Coleman Logan PC, his LinkedIn profile shows.

Smith earned his law degree from Southern Methodist University's Dedman School of Law and has a bachelor's degree from the University of Texas at Austin.

Munsch Hardt has three locations in the Lone Star State: Austin, Dallas and Houston.
