Munsch Hardt Kopf & Harr PC has added a shareholder with particular experience in real estate and construction litigation from Houston real estate law firm Wilson Cribbs & Goren.

Sara Prasatik, who is based in Houston, represents clients in complex commercial disputes involving real estate development, investment, lending, construction, land use and business partnerships, the firm said in a statement Wednesday.

Prasatik said Thursday during an interview with Law360 Pulse that she is excited to join a firm with such a great presence in the Houston market, particularly with the firm's deep bench in real estate and construction.

"This provides an ideal platform for someone like me who's in litigation and working out disputes for clients," Prasatik said. "There is a deeper bench and more support for the work I do and for my clients, it allows them to have additional resources beyond just my capabilities to further their business objectives."

Prasatik said she is excited about being able to utilize the skills of her new colleagues in other practice areas to serve clients. She said she has worked across from Munsch Hardt lawyers and is impressed with their reputation for being "collegial, collaborative and people that you want to have lunch with."

"We're uniquely situated to work with real estate developers, investors and owners with the expertise and background that we have," Prasatik said. "I don't think there's any firm that's got the same specialization both in disputes and on the transactional side."

Prasatik routinely guides developers, investors, property owners, lenders and businesses through high-stakes disputes, including partnership conflicts, property management issues, restrictive covenants, title disputes and related commercial litigation, the firm said.

Michael Harvey, co-chair of Munsch Hardt's litigation section, said in a statement, "Sara brings a sophisticated real estate litigation practice and a strong reputation in the Houston market."

"Her experience handling complex disputes across the real estate industry complements the strength of our litigation and real estate practices and adds further depth to our capabilities across Texas," Harvey said.

Prasatik's background includes a yearlong judicial clerkship at the Texas First District Court of Appeals in Houston. Before earning her law degree, Prasatik worked in Washington, D.C., as a legislative assistant to a U.S. senator and worked for a Houston-based technology company, the firm said.

Prasatik practiced with Wilson Cribbs for nearly eight years, her LinkedIn profile shows. She earned her law degree from the University of Houston Law Center. She holds a Master of Divinity from Princeton Theological Seminary and a bachelor's degree from The George Washington University.
