Skilled Insurance Attorney Michael W. Huddleston Joins Munsch Hardt

Munsch Hardt announces Michael W. Huddleston has joined as Shareholder, within the commercial litigation practice group. His addition to the Dallas office demonstrates the Firm’s continual commitment to attract top-level talent and offer clients expertise in a broad range of commercial legal areas.

Huddleston joins Munsch Hardt with nearly 30 years experience handling coverage and bad faith claims involving commercial and personal lines liability and first-party property insurance, directors and officers liability, reinsurance, fidelity and professional liability policies. He is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Northern, Southern and Western Districts of Texas, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court.

Among Huddleston’s many honors, he was selected by Texas Lawyer as the 2012 "Go-To" Lawyer for insurance law in Texas - an honor only given once every five years. He has been a "Leading Individual" in insurance law in Chambers USA every year since 2004 with a ranking of Tier One.

Huddleston also has extensive experience as an appellate attorney on a wide variety of insurance, commercial and personal injury disputes. He has numerous published landmark

decisions as appellate counsel, including Supreme Court cases such as, Federal Insurance Co. v. Samsung, Zurich Insurance Co. et al. v. Nokia, State Farm Fire & Cas. Insurance Co. v. Gandy, St. Paul Insurance Co. v. Convalescent Services, Inc., Reliance Insurance Co. v. McAfee Taft, and Argubright v. Beech Aircraft Corp.

As an undergraduate, Huddleston attended Texas A&M University, where he graduated summa cum laude. He received his Juris Doctor from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law.
