Overview

Naveed advises clients on a wide range of Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) matters, helping businesses navigate complex regulatory requirements, enforcement actions, and environmental risks. With experience spanning regulatory compliance, environmental litigation, and crisis management, Naveed develops practical strategies for clients facing compliance challenges and government investigations.

Naveed’s practice encompasses regulatory compliance, environmental litigation, and state and federal enforcement actions. He counsels clients on stormwater and wetlands issues under the Clean Water Act, site remediation under the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA), and regulatory matters arising under the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) and the Clean Air Act (CAA). Naveed also addresses PFAS-related risks, including regulatory obligations, litigation exposure, and product testing.

Naveed assists clients in responding to government inquiries following environmental, health, and safety crises, including investigations by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), the Chemical Safety Board (CSB), and state and local regulatory agencies. He also helps clients anticipate litigation and defend against claims arising from such incidents. Naveed regularly works with environmental consultants and corporate counsel on Superfund matters, including contaminated sediment cases, where he supports the implementation of administrative orders on consent.

Prior to joining Munsch Hardt, Naveed was an associate at an international law firm. Before entering private practice, he served as an enforcement attorney at the U.S. EPA in the Office of Enforcement and Compliance Assurance, where he worked on high-profile Superfund cases, advised on key provisions of CERCLA and RCRA, and was part of the National PFAS Enforcement Team addressing emerging contaminants.
