Overview

Austin is an accomplished trial attorney representing individuals, corporations, and institutional clients in complex litigation matters in state and federal courts. His experience spans a wide range of disputes, including contract and business litigation; fraud and breach of fiduciary duty claims; intellectual property and trade secret matters; real estate and construction disputes; oil and gas conflicts; partnership litigation; and product liability cases.

Beyond his legal practice, Austin is deeply engaged in the Fort Worth community. He maintains an active leadership presence within several prominent organizations, including the Court Advisory Committee for the Northern District of Texas, the TCU AddRan College of Liberal Arts Board of Visitors, the Tarrant County Bar Association, and the Eldon B. Mahon Inn of Court.

Prior to joining Munsch Hardt, Austin served as a partner at another local firm and served on active duty in the United States Army Judge Advocate General’s Corps. During his military service, he represented the U.S. Army, military personnel, federal government employees, and federal law enforcement in matters involving national security, military law, administrative law, fiscal law, consumer protection, probate, and family law.

Austin currently serves as lead litigator for Munsch Hardt’s Fort Worth office and is dedicated to expanding the Firm’s presence and impact in the local market.

Experience

  • Manufacturing Litigation

    Obtained a $7.5 MM jury verdict on behalf of a mining company against a rock crushing manufacturer regarding warranty and negligent misrepresentation claims after a two-week trial.

  • Trade Secrets Litigation

    Successfully defended multi-million-dollar trade secret misappropriation claims asserted against a local aerospace manufacturer in a highly complex, six-week jury trial in Tarrant County District Court.

  • Personal Injury Litigation

    Obtained summary judgment dismissing personal injury claims against a major airliner headquartered in Fort Worth, Texas in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas.
