DALLAS - Munsch Hardt Kopf & Harr, P.C. (“Munsch Hardt”), continues to expand its Corporate & Securities practice with the addition of Shareholder Austin Freeman. Freeman focuses on middle-market M&A, advising business owners on company sales and representing private equity sponsors and investors in acquisitions and strategic investments.
His experience spans technology, entertainment, wholesale distribution, wealth management, insurance and consumer goods.
“Middle market transactions demand real sophistication, along with the relationships and judgment to guide owners and investors through some of the most important decisions they will make,” said Rob Kibby, Munsch Hardt’s Corporate & Securities Section Head. “Austin pairs rigorous training with a genuine commitment to this market, which makes him a tremendous asset to our growing team and the clients we serve.”
Freeman began his career at Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP, advising on complex transactions before choosing to focus on middle-market M&A. He earned his Juris Doctor from Duke University School of Law and his Bachelor of Business Administration in finance, magna cum laude, from Texas A&M University.
“What drew me to Munsch Hardt is its ability to deliver sophisticated legal counsel while maintaining the collaboration, responsiveness and personal relationships that clients value,” said Freeman. “Middle market deals are often defining moments for business owners and investors, and they deserve counsel who pairs deep transactional experience with practical, business-focused advice. Munsch Hardt offers the kind of platform where those priorities go hand in hand.”
His addition builds on a series of shareholder hires across Munsch Hardt this year, including Corporate & Securities: Josh Pleitz, Matthew K. Good and Robert White (Dallas), Deana Tillotson (Fort Worth); Litigation: Brent A. Turman (Dallas), Austin Franklin (Fort Worth), Sara M. Prasatik (Houston); Bankruptcy, Restructuring & Insolvency: Tara LeDay (Austin); and Labor & Employment: Monte Hurst (Dallas).
