Tara concentrates her practice on bankruptcy, restructuring, and creditors’ rights, representing creditors, landlords, trustees, and corporate debtors in bankruptcy and insolvency matters nationwide. She has represented Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 trustees as general and special litigation counsel and regularly advises clients throughout the full life cycle of complex bankruptcy matters.

Tara has extensive experience representing creditors in Chapter 11 proceedings, including matters involving major corporate debtors across the real estate, retail, energy, and other industries. A significant portion of her practice focuses on representing purchasers in bankruptcy-related mergers, acquisitions, and Section 363 sales. She advises buyers throughout the sale process, from diligence and bid structuring through auction participation, sale approval, and closing. Her practice also includes advising clients on lien priority and retention, contract rights in bankruptcy sales, assumption and rejection of leases and executory contracts, cash collateral and adequate protection disputes, and preference actions.

With experience in bankruptcy courts across the country, Tara has represented clients in matters involving corporate debtors, creditors’ committees, and bankruptcy trustees. She has also participated in complex Chapter 11 proceedings involving Sleep Number Corporation, First Brands Group LLC, Dish Wireless LLC, Party City Holdco Inc., to name a few.

Known as a strong advocate who will fight for clients, Tara takes pride in ensuring that clients never have to worry about cases she’s managing. She’s also someone clients simply enjoy working with – an attorney they actually want to call.

Prior to joining Munsch Hardt, Tara was a partner in the bankruptcy group at a national law firm. Outside of work, Tara is an avid traveler and fitness enthusiast. She maintains a rigorous workout routine and enjoys traveling with her three children, offering them a wealth of cultural experiences. Their journeys have included destinations such as Europe, the Caribbean, Costa Rica, Mexico, and Canada.
