Alex’s practice focuses on complex restructuring, business bankruptcy and insolvency-related litigation matters with clients spanning the finance, health care, hospitality, oil and gas and transportation industries. He represents a variety of debtors and creditors in Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 cases, as well as post-confirmation liquidating trustees.

Alex has an extensive background in the restructuring and insolvency space, beginning with his time serving as a law clerk to the Chief United States Bankruptcy Judge Mary D. France. Both his passion and collaborative approach to bankruptcy and restructuring issues have allowed him to gain experience in all manner of complex matters in courts across Texas and the United States.

    Represented a debtor hotel operator with regard to the sale of the hotel free and clear of liens, interests and encumbrances for approximately $9.8 MM.

  • Creditor Representation

    Represented a secured creditor in obtaining relief from an automatic stay in the early phases of a Chapter 11 case.

  • Chapter 7 Trustee Representation

    Represented the Chapter 7 trustee of a health insurance payment processor in all matters relating to the administration of  bankruptcy
