Overview

Matt’s practice focuses on business litigation, employment litigation, ERISA litigation, insurance coverage litigation and non-compete/unfair competition/trade secret litigation. Matt also counsels clients on employment related matters to ensure compliance with federal and state law, and with an eye toward avoiding claims and lawsuits.

Matt is Board Certified in Labor and Employment Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. He is also a trial lawyer with extensive litigation and trial experience in both Federal and State Courts, as well as in various arbitration forums.

A former bull rider, Matt takes a 'no bull' approach to litigation, always seeking to obtain results for his clients in the most efficient and cost-effective manner possible. Matt is also an avid backpacker and a connoisseur of Texas music.

Matt and his wife, Mary, have been married for 35 years. They have two children, Sierra and Shane, both proud graduates of The University of Texas at Austin.
