Each year, Super Lawyers assesses attorneys across the country to determine a list of the best in each state. Once nominated, each candidate is evaluated on different criteria, including verdicts/settlements, transactions, experience, awards and community service. Peers in each candidate’s practice then review and score the attorney, and those with the highest points total are selected. While up to five (5) percent of the nominated lawyers in the state are named to Super Lawyers, no more than two-and-a-half (2.5) percent are named to the Rising Stars list.
