Jim has served in virtually every leadership role available in the Firm. He served as Munsch Hardt’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer from 1998 to 2005, and recently finished a term as Litigation Section Head. His practice focuses on commercial litigation, trade secrets, warranties, covenants not to compete and complex litigation of all sorts. In addition to his litigation docket, Jim regularly provides experienced counsel to companies seeking practical business solutions to difficult and cutting edge legal problems, including the drafting of contracts, templates and warranties with respect to handheld mobile devices, autonomous vehicles, ride-sharing and individual transportation products.
Jim joined Munsch Hardt in 1986 after practicing with a major Chicago law firm. He is litigation counsel of choice for numerous major international corporations as well as for significant local businesses. Jim has represented companies ranking among the world’s leaders in the fields of telecommunications, healthcare, automotive, bus transportation, air handling, restaurants, real estate development, real estate management, computer services and firearms. He has tried cases in federal and state courts and before arbitration panels from coast to coast.
Jim serves on the Board of Directors of the North Texas Food Bank, and serves as pro bono counsel to Christian Community Action, a charity serving the poor for more than 40 years.
